Influesnter's BlogSTAR VirtualVox Challenge!

 

Well, where do I even start? Influenster sent me an email about this awesome contest for us folks in the blogosphere who show them love. I was pretty eager and honored to be one of the many to be chosen. So, in this blog, you all will understand why I, as well as many others, love Influenster. So here goes... 

One of my favorite vox boxes that I have received was a semi recent one I got back in May called the Go Vox Box. In that vox box, Influenster provided (complimentary of course):PROFOOT Triad Orthatics & Pedi-Rock, Playtex Sport Fresh Balance Tampons, Blue Diamond Fruit Flavored Almonds (Blueberry), a coupon for Muller Yogurt, Aqua Spa Relax Collection Body Creme in Lavender & Chamomile, and The Vitamin Shoppe Next Step 20 oz JAXX Shaker Cup plus 3 samples of Next Step's Fit N 'Full Shake in the flavors French Vanilla, Swiss Chocolate, and Fresh Berries. My favorite items from this box were the Aqua Spa Relax Collection Body Creme in Lavender & Chamomile (which I am almost out of, and I know I want to purchase one), the Next Step Fit N' Full Shake in the flavor Fresh Berries, and last but not least the PROFOOT Triad Orthatics. Those definitely were the top three. Never the less, I enjoyed the entire box. Plus, it was a sweet treat from returning home from Chicago after a convention (weekend one). I felt like a kid on Christmas day.

To be honest, I longer have a smart phone (hopefully, I'll be getting one in the near future). So, I have not been able to try out the #InfluensterApp. I'm sure it's great just like the actual website. Once, I get a smart phone again, it will be the first app I download and use! I think it's cool that one can access Influenster's awesome-ness on the go.

Last year, in September, I gave in and purchased Urban Decay's Naked Palette. Yes, the beauty bloggers/vloggers but most importantly another Influenster's review was the cherry on top to convince me. I read through plenty of  reviews and each person had something great to say about this amazing eyeshadow palette. The colors are beautiful bronze tones that are shimmery and matte. It's perfect for the day time if you want a nice neutral eye or a sexy smoky eye look for the night. I even wrote a review myself but it would take me a while to find it (lots of reviews, a little over 8,000 of them).  Trust me, it's worth the hype and the price. I got my Naked Palette from Ulta (I saved my points up, and I almost got it for free.)

 

I have noticed now on Influenster there are Vox Perks. I have about four of them I can redeem but I have not had a chance to. It's cool that this is now a feature on Influenster's website. I will try one out in the future though. I am grateful none the less for the offers.  

This is one from Picatto where you can get your Instagram photos made into temporary tattoos. The offer is 12 tattoos for $12, which seems neat. (One of the four offers I can choose from). 

The Hub is an area on Influenster where you can find great articles on just about anything! I really like the beauty section where I stumbled upon an article that fits my needs which is Best Eye Makeup Tricks. Let me tell you, it's an informative one. I struggle with trying to make the perfect cat eye and this gave me an idea on how to do it, the right way. Thanks to Karen F. for posting, you rock girl!  

The “Tape Trick” – Angle the scotch tape from the outer edge of your eye to the tip of your eyebrow.  Apply your eye shadow then simply remove the the tape. Not only will your eye shadow have perfect symmetry, but this will help in achieving the perfect winged liner.

I know it said to pick one topic to write about but I am the type of person who must write about them all! Over achiever, much? LOL! I joined Influenster two years ago ( June 2012) and I am so glad I did. It's a great way to try out new products (complimentary of course) and the best part is...IT'S COMPLETELY FREE! You can link your social media accounts (ex: facebook, twitter, Instagram, YouTube,etc.) and write blogs as well. Be sure to let the world know! That means post what you got from Influenster on your social media, blogs, write reviews, and by word of mouth (family, friends, co-workers, classmates, etc). Make sure to always include what you received is complimentary from Influenster (rule of thumb). This is a great way to learn and share with everyone and perhaps you might influence them too. #FreshCollection #Contest from Influenster & Caress Final Review...

Well, it's 3:50 a.m. (CST) and I am up writing a blog on my final thoughts and review of Caress' Emerald Rush Body Wash in their #FreshCollection curated for Influenster's brand vox box. So here goes...

The verdict is in and it's  guilty...of being pretty darn awesome! I used my body wash  this past weekend on a mini vacation to Michigan (From Friday, 09-19-14 to Sunday, 09-21-14, for my cousins wedding). It was so relaxing to take a nice hot shower after a delicious rehersal dinner on Friday as well as the wedding reception on Saturday to unwind from the festivities. The white tea came through as well as the lovely blend of gardenia. I know I will be picking up this in a full size bottle soon to add to my night time or anytime relaxtion regime. A big thank you to both Influenster and Caress, again, for letting me as well as many other Influensters try out this great product. I'll insert a few pictures below and an updated video.

Influenster's #FreshCollection from Caress Vox Box!

I received a sample (travel size) body wash in the scent Emerald Rush from Caress and Influenster. It has a mix of gardiena and white tea which is a lovely blend. It smells so good! I am going to try this out tonight while I shower and post a blog on Monday (I'll be in Michigan for my cousins wedding). This is a brand vox box from Influenester. It's an amazing website in which you sign up, add your social media,and  leave reviews on products. You get vox boxes and brand challenges as well. Plus, it's free! That's pretty awesome.

#GoPROFOOT Challenge from Influenster's #GoVoxBox ...

Ah yes, another quick blog about an amazing brand called PROFOOT. In the #GoVoxBox I had received two products which are the Women's Triad Orthotic for shoes and the Pedi-Rock. To be honest I have never heard of this brand until Influenster gave me the opportunity to try it out. I was intrigued by the Pedi-Rock since it's soft enough to squeeze and has the quality to make your feel feel smooth. The orthotics were a pleasant surprise  as well and I couldn't wait to try each of these products out.


Let's start off with the orthotics...

I couldn't wait to get them out of the package and into my shoes! I needed some new ones and this was a God send for sure. They are very comfortable indeed! My feet feel as if I am walking on clouds and I love it! It's supportive for the heel, arch, and toes. I feel you can use these in athletic shoes (which I did), flats, and maybe even heels too.

Quick Tip: Be sure you place the glue dots firmly and correctly on the orthotics before you place them into your shoes. I accidentally put the orthotic in my right shoe and it was not even. Patience is needed!

Now onto the  Pedi-Rock...

I was fascinated by this product since I have never felt a soft pumice like thing for ones feet. It even said squeeze me I'm soft on the packaging.I have used pumice stones in the past  to remove callouses and to make my feet feet smooth. So, I decided to use it while I was taking a shower the other day to see how it worked. It's states you can use it wet or dry which is pretty convenient for anyone. It did do what it said ti would do. I am impressed by that. The only gripe is that it kind of flaked off, the scrubby part that is, when I went to rise the Pedi-Rock it came off on my hands. Maybe it's supposed to do that to so I may be wrong.

Quick Tip: Be sure to rise the Pedi-Rock off when you're done to ensure longevity.

Playex Sport Fresh Balance Review for the #GoVoxBox from Influenster

I received Playtex's Sport Fresh Balance Tampons in my Go Vox Box from Influenster to try out. I'm going to be real candid that I was a bit apprehensive about tampons, in general. I had tried to use tampons in the past (in my tween years, 12 years old to be exact) and I really did not enjoy it. That was only one time and it scared me. So, when I saw the package for some Playtex tampons I was not feeling it but that was before I gave tampons another shot. I was quite surprised that these were comfortable and easy application. I was able to move about freely during vast activities especially exercise. These are perfect for working out!

Features of this tampon are:

1. Contoured Tip

2. Barrel

3. Finger grip

4. Plunger

5. Tampon

6. String

Tips for Usage:

1. Be sure to read and follow instructions carefully when inserting a tampon. Instructions come in every box so please check them out.

2. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT leave a tampon in for more than 8 hours. Be sure to change your tampon between 4 to 8 hours or you could end up with TSS (Toxic Shock Syndrome). Trust me ladies, you do not want that to happen to you! Here are symptoms of TSS as follows; Sudden fever (usually 102 degrees or more), vomiting, diarrhea, fainting or near fainting when standing up, dizziness, or a rash that looks like sunburn. If TSS ensues remove the tampon right away  and see your doctor  immediately!


3. Relax, no seriously, be relaxed when inserting your tampon or it will hurt. Make sure your sitting down on the toilet while you do this.

It has been a while since I have received a Vox Box from Influenster and I am super excited about this one. I have not heard of the brand PROFOOT before and I'm looking forward to trying out their orthotics and Pedi-Rock. I am in need of a good orthotics for my shoes as well as intrigued with the pedi-rock. I have also never heard of the brand of Aqua Spa and I did test out the body creme today. It smelled wonderful and my skin feels silky soft. This will be a first time trying out a shake as a meal supplement and the JAXX cup seems interesting and fun way to shake things up. I am familiar with the brand blue Diamond since I tried other variations of their almonds which are pretty amazing to snack on for a protein power boost. The blueberry ones sound delicious. I have heard of Muller before and am looking forward to trying out their yogurt. Knowing there is Greek yogurt I'm sold! It's really healthy due to low fat and high protein content. I have heard of and seen Playtex Tampon products in store as well as advertisements. To be honest I have never used any brand of tampons. I did try to use when when I was much younger (like 12 1/2 years old) and it was unpleasant for me. I may have done it wrong, who knows. I'll give at least one of the Playtex Sport Fresh Balance tampons a try.

A Total Knock Out! Influenster's Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Nail Polish Vox Box...

Greetings and salutations all! I recently received a complimentary vox box from Influenster and Sally Hansen. I got three Complete Salon Manicure nail polishes in these colors; Jaded (540), Red My Lips (470), and Pat on the Black (510). I do have to say they are worth the hype for sure. I would purchase this nail polish and let my family and friends know to buy it too. Thank you Influenster and Sally Hansen!
